Tomy Robot giclée prints. Series of 10 prints.

This was part of my contribution to the Up and 2 the Right Show.

The Tomy robots are meant to evoke a sense of nostalgia.

I completed a series of seven Nike Air Force 1 Colorways as part of the July Retrochallenge Competition.

Each Colorway takes on the visual cues of a vintage computer or a retro video game console.

I received considerable support from the tumblr and twitter communities as I rolled out each design.

This is a pixel by pixel vector reconstruction/upscale of Naxat's Devil's Crush pinball video game from the Turbo Grafx-16.

To produce this upscale, I traced along the pixels edges of the original 16-bit board. Each vector is modeled with increased fidelity in mind.

Contained within this framework is a portrait of my girlfriend, my "Devil's Crush".

I took part in the A NIGHT AT THE ARGYLE group show. Artists contributed illustrations on Staple’s 36’’ x 48’’ Engineering Prints.

The image was produced using Illustrator and the ultra-high resolution textures were added using Astute Graphics Plug-Ins. I won a Featured Artist place on their web site for this piece. As my reward I also received a mug with the Pac Man image on it.

The German organization MEGA (Museum of Electronic Games and Art) asked me to design a laptop concept for their computer prototype, the MEGA 65.

The MEGA 65 is an enhanced Commodore 64/65 compatible computer.

Care was taken to honor the styling of the Commodore 65 prototype case. Special attention was given to the keyboard to ensure both Commodore users and new entrants into the retro market would not be frustrated with the laptop's layout.

Modern ports were chosen in favor of legacy ports. This cut down on extra bulk and cost. One exception was made in the inclusion of two vintage 9-pin Control Ports as they are low cost and extremely popular even today.

My personal tribute to Super Mario. This is an ongoing series of maps and graphic packs for a Commodore 64 adaptation of Nintendo's Super Mario Bros. 1 & 2.

Growing up in the 80's, I clocked hundreds of hours on my Commodore 64. I think I knew even back then that I wanted to create art with computers.

When I was 12 years old, my friend brought his copy of Nintendo Power Issue #1 to school. It featured the new game, Super Mario Bros. 2. I knew my parents didn't have the money for a Nintendo so my young mind hatched a plan to port my own version to my Commodore.

All these years later, I am still flirting with the idea. I love imposing limitations on design and working on C64 materials is very good practice for that

I was a major contributor to the Up and to the Right show. Items included, shirt designs, stickers, lighters, "SugarBert" cookies (created using a 3d printed cookie cutter), Tomy Robot prints, and Devil's Crush.

It was a fantastic opportunity to exhibit my work.

Series of 4 Arabic-inspired Bandana Designs 26"x26"

I am interested in fabric manufacturing so I decided to produce a series of four simple designs.

I worked with a silk-producer who is located in China.

For the month of March, I took place in the Wacom's #marchofrobots online competition.

I made a series of 4 technical drawings commemorating the plastic robots created by Atari founder, Nolan Bushnell.

As an additional challenge I also wrote a brief History of Axlon and Androbot which can be found on my blog.

Photorealistic Adobe Illustrator rendering of a childhood toy, the Go-Bots Command Centre by Tonka.

I don't usually have the item I am illustrating but in this case I was fortunate to work from an actual toy.

For this illustration I rendered every detail as photo-realistically as possible.

This is my second silk printing trial. I designed them to be large enough to wrap around a person a few of times (40" x 75").

The silk chiffon is much lighter than the pure silk Arabic Banadana designs, so the black is lighter and shines through the layers of fabric nicely.

A series of two 17" x 25" Giclée prints for the Art Catalogue group show.

Both illustrations feature an mid 1980's 8-bit Nintendo robot accessory released for the NES (Western markets) and the Famicom (Eastern markets).

Each piece is reflective of Nintendo's branding in both of these markets during this time.
